JOB SUMMARY

Circle K is currently searching for outgoing, enthusiastic individuals to join their Special Events Team.  The Promotional Team Leader will overlook two to four team members that will be representing Circle K at local community events and distribute promotional items on weekends.  The Team Leader will work every weekend and will be the sole driver of the promotional vehicle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications for a Promotional Team Leader are:

• High School diploma/GED or College degree preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
• Experience in promotions preferred.
• Ability to perform the essential duties, responsibilities and working in the conditions described below.
• Must be available on weekends — day or nights depending on event.
• Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in the Promotional Team Representative job description.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (something about search).
• Proven experience in positions of high responsibility.
• Must be familiar with Circle K.
• High energy/ positive attitude.
• Must be able to provide an updated motor vehicle record form his/her state of residence upon request within five business days.
• Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by his/her supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND  RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Management

• Assure that all Team Representative are informed of their responsibilities prior to the event.
• Check that all Team Representatives have on proper attire (clean Circle K shirt, comfortable shoes, etc)
• Have promotional team members at the location event and set up prior to event opening.
• Responsible for the Circle K vehicle, ensure that no unauthorized drivers use the vehicle.
• Ensure the vehicle has copies of the incident reporting instructions and insurance information at all times.

Site Relationships

• Develop positive and professional relationships with all participating charities.
• Promote excellent service and answer any questions in a professional manner.
• Promote positive public image of Circle K within the community.

Training and Development

• Prepare on-going and timely performance appraisals in writing for Team Representatives, providing proper performance based feedback.
• Must complete CBT training upon hiring.

Communication

• Develop ways and means to ensure that all employees receive proper communication in a timely manner.
• Establish periodic on-going communication meetings with all Promotional Team Representatives.

Organizing and Planning

• Evaluate and develop specific action plans to address the needs of the program in order to reach the desired objectives.
• Write a recap of the events along with suggestions for future events.
• Organize and maintain all sites files and manuals.
• Supervise team representatives to ensure that all required and requested reports dues are completed accurately and timely.
• Assist team representatives to ensure that vehicle is stocked, clean and ready for the next group to use.

Financial

• Must be responsible for company fuel card.

Working Conditions

• Performs approximately all work outdoors in high volume traffic areas.
• Fast paced environment.
• Work with a minimum of directions and supervision.
• At all times work as an effective leader.
• Drive at times under heavy traffic.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
