REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent and one year inventory auditing experience or retail experience in a convenience store environment.  Must be able to lift up to 25-lbs and conduct basic research.  Must have a valid driver license with no major offenses and current liability car insurance.  Must have reliable transportation to perform audits throughout the Region. Occasional overnight travel may be required.  Must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities described below.  Must be able to follow state, federal and company guidelines.  Maintains a positive team attitude and professional demeanor at all times.

JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Auditor travels daily to stores within the Region to conduct physical inventories of the stores merchandise utilizing a handheld scanner. A typical full scanning audit is conducted with a team of auditors while a partial scanning audit is usually performed with one auditor. Upon completion of the audit, the auditor works with the Store Manager to review the audit results and communicate the results and observations to the Audit Manager and Operations Management.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Count all merchandise utilizing a handheld scanner.
  • Complete a cash reconciliation and verify daily deposit.
  • Notify store manager of wrong prices and pull out-of-code merchandise.
  • Verify money orders, lottery ticket inventory and bank deposits.
  • Verify gasoline inventory by sticking tanks and checking for water.
  • Perform various surveys to verify compliance with operational and financial procedures.
  • Works in a safe manner by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Requires both inside and outside work environments.
  • Other assigned duties as assigned or deemed necessary.
